5 Things to Do on Your Family Holiday at Gold Coast

The Gold Coast, Queensland has it all for a perfect family vacation with beautiful animal experiences, wild water sports, different theme parks and plenty of scenic views. Irrespective of where you visit, there are a plethora of activities to keep kids occupied while having a fun time.

Here, families can combine surfing and beach together or enjoy a road trip to the Hinterland Rainforest. Besides this, there are plenty of other beaches that are absolutely safe and protected for your little ones and yet a few that will totally thrill the ones who want to experience parasailing, diving, kite surfing and snorkelling. If you are looking at family-friendly things to do on your trip to the Gold Coast, here’s what we would recommend for your visit:

a) Head over to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has been voted as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Australia. There are four major areas in the main sanctuary and three of them are located on the eastern side of the highway: reserve lands near Flat Rock Creek, picnic spot towards the north of Tomewin Street and the original sanctuary site is located on the south of Tomewin Street. There’s also a tunnel under the highway that links eastern and western parts of the sanctuary. While exploring this 27-hectare park, on the way you will come across open animal enclosures as you move along you can cuddle koalas and even feed kangaroos! Apart from enjoying the flora and fauna, there’s also a large outdoor themed playground for kids. Plus, you can also experience free flight bird shows or visit the sanctuary market and wildlife hospital. There’s plenty to do for families and friends here!

b) Experience driving a buggy along the beach

A Buggy Tour at Gold Coast Island is something you should definitely get your hands on! This half a day tour begins with a cruise from Mariners Cove to South Stadbroke Island. Along this cruise, relax and take in the beautiful views and along the way and if you’re lucky, you might spot a dolphin or two! Once on land, after prepping, get ready to jump into your 4wd buggy. Your journey will cross paths with different terrains such as sand dune, tranquil forests, magnificent unspoilt beaches and naturally built obstacles. d) Dive into a family day out at Wet ‘n’ Wild Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is popularly known for its fancy beaches, theme parks, thrilling rides, scenic views and limitless entertainment at any time of the year. Wet ‘n’ Wild Gold Coast is listed as one of the largest water parks that is operated and owned by Village Roadshow Theme parks. Irrespective of the season, the park is functional throughout the year with slides and pools heated during the winter season.
